Until what age do you need to sterilize bottles and pacifiers?

I stopped sterilizing his bottles around 6 months but every time I replaced the I would sterilize them the pacifier I would wash with mild soap and hot water every day now he is 16 months old and sometimes I just rinse the paci with hot water and luckily he got off the bottle at 11 months so I don't do bottles anymore. But if he was sick I would always replace the paci after he was better. Good luck with the little one.
