If God is real why did he create a world with tsuanamis and other natural disasters?

I am a Christian but lately i have started to question the bible..If god is real why did he make the world have natural disasters (earthquakes,tsunamis,volcanic eruptions) I understand why bad people were possibly created (free will and to learn from mistakes) but why did he Create natural disasters if he is real..I was watching the news and with all that is happening in Japan right now seriously made me wonder..So many nice people getting killed or hurt if god was here or cared about us why di he let this happen? :(
