I lost on average about 3-5 pounds a week and it has stayed off for 3 years. The trick is realizing that eating that way has to become a way of life. Don't think about it as I'll eat this way until I lose weight and then I'll eat the way I want to. If you think that way, you will gain it all back. I wouldn't consider doing Atkins unless you know that carbs are a problem for you. It is a fantastic diet though, it saved my life.
